Setting[edit | edit source]
Shardhunters is set in an alternative 17th century where the world is swarmed by the undead hordes, due to the outbreak of the magical witch plague. Survivors of the old world gather in the the few remaining safe havens of mankind, trying to adapt to the new age. Supernatural creatures long thought to be vanished now crawl out from their lairs. In this new era, bloodshards are the most valuable resource on Earth, bringing only turmoil and bloodshed wherever they are sighted. New heroes rise, answering the call of changing times, willing to sacrifice everything for the magical bloodshards. People call them the Shardhunters.
